All Change
It’s been a while since I’ve created any new art or picked up a camera but as I approach my sixtieth birthday it’s time to make some changes.
For the past couple of years I’ve been doing a little bit of all sorts, some photography which is still in need of processing, a little web-design, some gardening and we’ve got a new puppy who’s now 15 months old. Yet all the time there is a nagging in the back of my mind and I desperately want to get the digital mouse out and create some new art. So as I head towards my sixtieth year I’ve decided that if I don’t do it now I’ll never get around to it.
What’s brought this on you might ask!
Well, apart from the BIG 60, a few friends from school have passed away or are suffering from ailments which has changed their lives. I too suffer with my knees and arthritis in my hands and have recently been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, which I’d love to reverse. Whilst looking at a few health changes, I’ve also decided that I’d really like to get more of my art out into the big wide world for all to enjoy and if I don’t do it now I’m not sure I ever will.
So it’s been all change at Michelle Whitmore Photography over the past couple of months as I merge my art into the website and now become Michelle Whitmore Artographer. The galleries have changed to show the Collection’s I’m currently offering.
In the coming months I will also be creating an area for trade enquiries and collaborations, so if you’re an interior decorator, kitchen designer, bathroom designer, owner of a boutique hotel or are a buyer for chain and are looking for unique pieces I’d love to hear from you.
What is an Artographer you ask? It’s the merging of the words of artist + photographer to create the term Artographer just like I use my photography to create digital art. I think Artographer suits my work to a tee.
I hope you’ll join me on my new journey.
Michelle
