You name it – it’s all here!

Earlier this year, I was asked if I’d like to become a member of Team UK and participate in the World Photographic Cup (WPC) 2026. Naturally, I said that I’d be delighted to represent the UK and compete with esteemed photographers from around the world.

How WPC works:

WPC 2026 will see 57 countries competing in 10 categories. Photographers can submit 1 image in each category to the Team Captain for consideration. The Team Captain then enters 3 images, by different photographers, into each category. Before judging commences, each image is screened for relevance to the category and rules to confirm eligibility.

Gold (1st), Silver (2nd) and Bronze (3rd) medals are awarded to the individual creators in each category.

Teams are awarded points based on the aggregate score of top ten placements in all categories. Each participating image will be awarded 1 point besides points from top ten placements.

I’m really excited to discover that Queen Bee has passed the qualifying process and will now take part in the competition in the Illustrative Portrait category – fingers crossed for her success.

The finalists in each category will be announced 19th December with an Event and Presentation in Reykjavik, Iceland at the end of April 2026.

UPDATE:

Sadly it wasn’t to be and Queen Bee didn’t make it through to the Final 10 in the Illustrative Portrait category. Yes, I am a little disappointed but extremely proud to have represented my country and to have Queen Bee out there on the International stage. Now to create something for 2027!
